The Legacy Tobacco Documents Library contains more than 6 million documents related to advertising, manufacturing, marketing, sales, and scientific research of tobacco products. Visitors can search, view, and download these documents from this website.
This site also offers integrated searching of tobacco industry documents previously released through disparate industry websites. Through the support of the American Legacy Foundation, the Legacy Tobacco Documents Library will maintain this data through a permanent, stable interface.
The Center for Tobacco Control Research and Education provides a focal point for work designed to reduce the 5 million deaths caused by tobacco.
The work is designed to inform and improve the effectiveness of public health interventions to reduce tobacco use, as well as to preserve previously secret tobacco industry documents.
The purpose of the Tobacco Control Archives is to collect, preserve, and provide access to papers, unpublished documents, and electronic resources relevant to tobacco control issues.
The archives include more than 100 digital, paper, and media collections dealing with tobacco. General subject areas covered include the tobacco industry, tobacco policy, and tobacco-related legislation and litigation.
